Zebra Technologies Warehouse Associate, II in Morris Plains, New Jersey

Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

This is a day shift: Monday-Friday, 6am to 2:30pm (potential OT)

Responsibilities

  • Learns to identify hazardous materials/dangerous goods and follows regulatory and/or internal processes for proper handling

  • Executes assigned housekeeping tasks and takes proactive action to eliminate safety risks in the work environment

  • Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations. Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand. Takes prompt action in eliminating and reporting unsafe conditions or safety incidents/violations

  • Completes inhouse forklift training for any and all equipment to be used in daily tasks

  • Works in a team environment

  • Performs quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments to verify item number and quantity

  • Packages materials for outbound shipments in accordance with site policies and customer requirements

  • Uses a computer-based ERP system to enter shipment information and executes the shipment of orders

  • Executes parcel and freight shipments.Uses handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders, move and maintain inventory accuracy, and receive raw materials

  • Uses forklift to load and unload semi-trailers

  • Monitors goods for damage and take appropriate action

Qualifications

Required:

  1. High school Diploma or GED Equivalent

  2. 1 year experience within a warehouse environment

  3. Effective communication skills

  4. Basic computer literacy, with knowledge of software including Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems, and proficient understanding of the use of a desktop

  5. Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler

Preferred:

  1. Experience using Oracle ERP

  2. 1+ years' experience within Manufacturing or Warehouse

  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  4. Ability to be a team player and work with others

  5. Previous Standup forklift operation is a plus but not required
