Zebra Technologies Senior State & Indirect Tax Analyst in Lincolnshire, Illinois

The Senior Tax Analyst will be a leader in the state and indirect tax field working with the broader Tax Department. The Analyst will prepare and review the state income and sales & use tax returns while the primary focus will be interacting with and resolving external audits for both state income and sales & use tax returns.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the preparation and review of applicable State Income and Sales & Use tax return filings in conjunction with external consultants.

  • Manages State Income and Sales & Use audits and State tax reserves

  • Experienced in interacting with external auditors and promptly replying to audit and notice requests.

  • Liaison with external consultants to file tax returns and annual reports.

  • Prepares the state modification and apportionment workpapers.

  • Performs tax research as required.

  • Performs monthly account reconciliation analysis for tax balance sheet accounts.

  • Communicates the impacts of state taxes on quarterly basis with the federal tax provision team.

  • Keeps current on critical tax law changes.

  • Works on development and analysis of various tax projects as assigned by management.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

  • 5+ years of tax experience but candidates with 3+ years of experience with state and/or indirect taxes will be considered

  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Exceptional functional and technical knowledge

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong computer knowledge of Corptax, Vertex, and OneSource

  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office & 2 remote) out of Lincolnshire, IL

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred

  • Experience with Tax Provision a plus

Salary: USD 73400.00 - USD 110200.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
