Zebra’s Global Information Security Organization is looking for an experienced Security Engineer in Vulnerability Management to join our high-performing and agile team. We are looking for innovative team members to work in an exciting and inclusive environment to develop solutions utilizing new and exciting technologies. Are you a vulnerability engineer with experience in managing the lifecycle of a vulnerability programs including the detection, prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities? This role will have the direct responsibility for providing guidance on patch and vulnerability management, threat identification, risk-ranking of newly identified vulnerabilities for prioritization, development of remediation plans and goal setting business units on how to achieve overall risk reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform information system security vulnerability scanning to discover and analyze vulnerabilities and characterize risks to networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components for on-prem and in the cloud environments (AWS, GCP and Azure experience preferred)

  • Perform compliance scanning to analyze configurations and facilitate implementation of configurations and hardening settings for networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components

  • Engage with stakeholders, to include IT professionals, management, and auditors, to facilitate vulnerability discovery and remediation

  • Recommend appropriate remedial actions to mitigate risks and ensure information systems employ appropriate level of information security controls

  • Drive efforts to remediate findings from external assessments

  • Establish penetration test strategies and validate remediation effectiveness

  • A demonstrable ability to mentor and train junior team members

  • Assist in development and implementation of information security vulnerability management policies, procedures, and standards based on National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 standards, best practices, and compliance requirements

  • Develop and utilize BI reporting for Business Units and leadership to fully understand current state on risk and remediation efforts

  • Develop automation and orchestration around vulnerability management

  • Implement integration of vulnerability management tool with other toolsets

  • Participate in incident response activities including forensic investigation

  • Create operating procedures for level 1 and level 2 support teams

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 8+ years of Vulnerability Management experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Programming experience

  • NIST experience

  • Writing scripts experience

  • PIN testing application experience

  • Python experience

  • Automation and integration with vulnerability systems experience

  • Ability to implement new systems and tools

  • Experience handling IT documentation processes

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Advanced demonstration of project managing IT solutions

  • Leads in a fast-paced, high growth, constantly evolving environment

  • Demonstrable ability to identify and implement process improvement
