The Senior Manager, Network Systems is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and implementation of network systems and infrastructure. The role will manage a team of network professionals and will be accountable for the overall performance and availability of the network. They will play a key role in the training and development of the network team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. They will also be involved in the selection, development, and management of vendor relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of network architecture, network security principles, and industry best practices.

The Senior Manager, Network Systems is expected to stay current with the latest developments in network technology and security, ensuring that Zebra Technologies remains at the forefront of industry trends and innovations. They will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory standards and frameworks. This role will need to clearly communicate complex technical information to a wide range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical. They will also need to be able to build strong relationships with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the alignment of network and security strategies with broader organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes on strategy for analyzing business needs and priorities required for protection of critical systems and operational policies

  • Executes strategy to implement appropriate standards and criteria for (but not limited to) cloud, identity security, zero trust networks, email, firewall, access and encryption requirements

  • Proactively evaluates potential business impacts from security breaches and provides strategic and tactical guidance to business decision-makers

  • Leads efforts with stakeholders to identify solution capabilities for emerging and near-future risks to the organization

  • Guides and develops managers and business to understand company policies and market trends to ensure the efficient operation of the function

  • Strategically partners with internal and external parties to address current and potential security issues, including Professional Services and outsourcing functions

  • Encourages cooperation among managers and business, leading by example

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience in IT or equivalent discipline with at least 5 years of management experience.

  • Experience designing and implementing Network Architecture in a complex, global enterprise.

  • Experience designing and implementing Networks and systems that adhere to security best practices and/or 3rd party compliance requirements.

  • Experience managing team members in a global environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree preferred

  • Understanding of security protocols and cryptography

  • Understanding of NAC solutions

  • Understanding of WAN technologies including MPLS and DMVPN phase III mesh networks.

  • Working knowledge and experience of routing metric manipulation for WAN protocols

  • Underlay and Overlayed networks and connectivity

  • Demonstrates mastery of the concepts and theory of network security, but possess adept knowledge of data networking, including expertise in switching, routing, directory services, and TCP/IP fundamentals.

  • Familiarity with VoIP technologies as part of the overall network architecture

  • Familiarity with routine network operations projects such as End of Life cycles, vulnerability patching, compliance and audit reporting.

  • Tufin firewall risk management or other firewall rule risk analysis tool

  • Palo Alto Firewalls, advanced threat detection policy building, identity aware security

  • Zero Trust or SASE technologies

  • Network firewall and software defined micro-segmentation

    Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to manage leaders of others

  • Experience managing budgets

  • Ability to apply strategic concepts for process improvement

  • Demonstrate regular interactions with Senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, business units, and/or customers

  • Experience with technical and leadership skills

  • Develop KPI reports on network performance and user experience

  • Hybrid agile project management for operations teams

  • Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance metrics

  • Provide monthly and quarterly operational progress reports

  • Drive team training and knowledge transfers

  • Develop team goals and individual development plans for team member

Salary: USD 133000.00 - USD 199400.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
