The Warehouse Associate Team Lead will manage items coming into the warehouse from production. Trains associates in basic work instructions for functional assignments and facilitates warehouse associate activities. Answer emails in an effective and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved within: shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

  • Provides Leadership- getting employees involved and communicate efficiently and openly

  • Fully functional and capable to support/coordinate warehouse operations in the absence of supervisor/manager

  • Distributes work and provides performance mentorship as needed

  • Ability to identify hazardous materials/dangerous goods and follows regulatory and/or internal processes for accurate handling. Executes assigned housekeeping tasks and takes proactive action to eliminate safety risks in the work environment

  • Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations. Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand. Takes timely action in eliminating and reporting unsafe conditions or safety incidents/violations.

  • Completes inhouse forklift training for any and all equipment to be used daily

  • Lead the back order and the control board within the warehouse system

  • Demonstrates and promotes quality values throughout the department

  • Closely adheres to all operating procedures

  • Work with Sales and Order Management as needed

  • Has the ability to run required daily reports and coordinate work strategies for all associates

  • Use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders, move and maintain inventory accuracy, and receive raw materials

  • Supervises goods for damage and take appropriate action

Qualifications

Requirements:

  1. High school Diploma or GED Equivalent

  2. 4+ years of experience in warehouse activities

  3. Knowledge and experience with international shipping

  4. Basic digital literacy, with knowledge of software including: Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems, Oracle and ERP system

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility

  2. Effectively distributes work, providing performance guidance and support as needed

  3. Strong job knowledge and training ability

  4. Ability to communicate both over the phone and email
